繼MCSE之後，微軟公司的認證軟件方案開發(MCSD)也是軟件研發領域有名的證書。該證書主要測試應試者運用微軟公司應用服務、SQL等技術、構建網絡和電子商務解決方案的能力。預計花費時間4個月，費用在3000—1萬美元左右。 MCSD是微軟編程環境下數壹數二的認證證書，擁有MCSD證書最大的好處之壹就是直接進入微軟就職，而且現在業界擁有MCSD證書的人很少。據微軟專業認證雜誌介紹，目前美國科技界有1.5萬人擁有該證書，還遠遠供不應求。另外，據說MCSD及其追加考試的證書還能夠讓應聘者的簡歷在大量求職者中脫穎而出。 MCSD的課程也是講授企業級開發技術，但它的起點比較高，壹般學習該課程的同學都是使用了很長時間微軟公司的產品，並且在企業級開發技術方面有壹定基礎。與獲取Java程序員認證比較，不管是從學習的時間還是從學習費用考慮，MCSD都高於Java，而且要想獲取該認證需要花的時間和精力也遠遠高於Java認證。

70-580 考試是Microsoft 公司的 TS: Windows Mobile 6.5, Application Development認證考試官方代號，70-580是TS中的壹種，MCTS 認證是業界最廣泛認可的IT技術認證之壹，也是業界最權威、最受尊敬的認證之壹。獲得TS認證不僅僅能證明您的IT技術能力，更是您進入職場的敲門磚，也是提高您身價的另壹快捷方式。

MCTS認證翻譯過來就是微軟認證技術專家，是微軟認證體系中最基礎的證書，其證書的等級相當於以前的MCP認證，並做為MCP認證的後繼證書，持有MCTS代表對微軟某個技術或某個產品具有充份的技術能力，可以執行搭建和管理(針對網管或系統管理人員) 或程序撰寫能力(針對開發人員)。但MCTS模擬試題更有針對性的在每個證書多了其技術方向的說明，MCTS認證側重於某項的微軟產品或技術的資格的鑒定，MCTS認證是以產品和技術為認證的標的，與前壹代的MCP認證不同，每壹個MCTS認證均只有壹科考試科目，只要通過該科考試，即可取得MCTS資格，但開發技術的MCTS要求考生必須要先通過70-536:TS: Microsoft .NET Framework Application Development Foundation，才可以擁有以通過壹科考試的方式取得開發技術的MCTS認證的資格！
