據有關人士透露：思科在2009年將增加15個CCIE考點。目前，思科認證的CCIE考試在全球一共有10個考點，分別為：Bangalore, Beijing, Brussels, Du Bai,Hong Kong, Research Triangle Park, San Jose, Sao Paulo, Sudney, Tokyo.將在2009後增加15個流動考點。這一消息將給參加CCIE的考生帶來很大的佳音。

具體增加的地點為Seoul, Korea|Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia|Shanghai, China|Moscow,Russia|Riyadh,Saudi Arabia|Belgrade, Serbi|Kiev, Ukraine|Osaka, Japan|New Delhi, India|Jakarta,Indonesia| Chi Min City,Vietnam|Johannesburg, South Africa|Amman, Jordan|Mexico City,Mexico|Singapore。並且增加的時間最早，時間為2009年1月9日。現在為止還不知道是哪個方向的CCIE考點，據思科內部透露，路由交換類的考點的可能性比較小，很可能為語音（VOIP）。其中安全類CCIE考試到2009年4月份後只有一套版本。
